An important issue that matters to me is violence against women and girls. There is a great need for young people to begin to participate in development processes; but widespread ignorance on critical issues, such as budgeting, can hinder the development process. Another issue that matters to me is the gap between youth and policy makers, but building a bridge between this gap will remain elusive as long as youth remain ignorant on the policy issues that affect all of us. Whenever I look at the sadness of the world, such as poverty, crime, abuse and all other atrocities and notice that there are some people who are still determined to make our lives better. I am in inspired by what I've seen in my environment and community . I am inspired by issues such as poverty, illiteracy, war, and so forth. I am inspired by the fact that more and more of my peers around the world are getting involved in issues that affect my community and I believe that I too can be a part of this noble process.
